Apple’s Current Path Is Similar To The One Blazed 20 Years Ago

Apple Computer’s (AAPL) PCs look a lot different today than they did in 1986. But there are many similarities between its stock now and 20 years ago.

Two years earlier, in 1984, the company unveiled its first Macintosh. The revolutionary desktop computer would set the tone in PC development for decades, even though Windows-based systems dominated business use.

Apple shares took a beating from June 1983 until they bottomed in August 1985. The company struggled with layoffs and corporate battles between top leaders John Sculley and Steve Jobs.
